Research at the National First Ladies Library & Museum

The National First Ladies Library & Museum has a rich and extensive collection of books and materials available for researchers. Our Library, located at 205 Market Ave. South in Canton, is currently open only by appointment. Please call 440-317-3750 to inquire.

We also have an extensive collection of online biographical and research material available; we are currently updating this information but it is available on our legacy website here.

The National First Ladies Library & Museum is happy to entertain inquiries from the media, provided a 48-hour notice prior to the deadline is given. For the general public, we are able clarify or provide basic information, but we are unable to do lengthy or original research. However, we will guide researchers to use our resources as outlined or provide assistance in directing them to other resources. Unfortunately, we cannot provide genealogy research, assess the value of items, or provide provenance for items.
