Visits to the National First Ladies’ Library
The Saxton House is viewed by guided tour only. Guided tours of the Saxton House are lead by costumed docents. Tours last approximately 1 hour. Additional time should be allowed to view the exhibits in the museum at the Education & Research Center. Tickets are purchased at the Education and Research Center and include both the museum and the guided tour of the Saxton Home. Reservations are highly recommended as tour size is limited. Reservations are REQUIRED for groups of 6 or more. Please call or email to reserve in advance.
Tour Hours
Our buildings are open Monday - Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., HOWEVER, you must take a tour to view the displays and tour the Ida Saxton McKinley Home.
Monday: CLOSED, no tours, gift shop open 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Tuesday - Saturday: Guided tours of the Ida Saxton McKinley Home are on the hour at
10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. You must be on a guided tour to see the Saxton Home. Please arrive early or plan to stay after your tour of the Saxton Home so you can view the exhibits at the Museum in the Education & Research Center. One ticket covers both the guided tour and the museum.

Summer Hours: Between June 1 and August 31, we are open on SUNDAYS from 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. with tours at 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. & 3:00 p.m.
We are CLOSED ON: New Year's Eve & Day; President's Day; Memorial Day; July 4, Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day & day after Thanksgiving; Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. We are also CLOSED for tours during exhibit changes — PLEASE CHECK CALENDAR.

Follow I-77 North to the Downtown/Tuscarawas Exit. Turn right onto Tuscarawas
and travel to Market Street South. Turn right onto Market. Travel through two
lights, immediately after 2 nd light is our gated parking on the right hand side. |

Follow I-77 South to Exit 105/Tuscarawas/Downtown. Turn left onto Tuscarawas Street. Go through eight traffic lights to Market Street, turn right. Go through two lights, immediately after 2nd light is our gated parking lot on the right hand side.

Take I-71 North to 30 East. Exit at Downtown/Cherry Ave. Turn right off exit
ramp travel to Second Street. Turn left onto Second Street and travel to Market
Ave. Turn left onto Market Ave and travel 1 block. Just past light at Third Street
is our gated parking lot on the right. |

Take I-76 to I-77 South.
